301 W North Ave - Mixed Use Apartments (2014 - 2019)

with Sedgwick Properties

301 W North is a 7-storey mixed-use apartment building currently under construction in the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago.  With 69 residential units and 2 retail units, it is part of a booming market of apartments in progress around the city.  The building is a blend of concrete, structural steel, load-bearing masonry, and cold-formed metal framing with a brick & cast stone facade.  The project has extensive rooftop amenities including a wading pool, fitness room, and party room.

I have been involved on 301 W North through every stage from initial design coordination with engineers and developer, through permitting at the city and state level, and as a project engineer throughout all construction phases to date.  As a P.E. I assisted in bidding and contracting subcontractors, reviewing and approval of all submittals, and responding to all RFIs throughout the project.  This has included a minimum of twice-weekly site visits for coordination. Through this I have experience working on site with every trade involved in the project.
